Duncan Lewis Botwood (born in 1972 in Stafford, UK) is a British video game designer and voice actor. He worked for British game developer Rare Ltd. from 1995[1] to 2008. He was Senior Designer at the company. Bootwood's first work was GoldenEye 007. He was one of first members of the team and worked closely with Martin Hollis and David Doak. Botwood constructed the levels and did most motion capture with head model designer, Beatrix. He next worked on Perfect Dark and also was the core member of development team. Botwood was the level designer, wrote the story of game and designed the way weapons would work. After that Botwood worked on Perfect Dark Zero, designing the multiplayer. His other works included designing Star Fox Adventures, Kameo: Elements of Power, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Jetpac Refuelled and, most recently, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.
Botwood also provided voice talent to projects he worked on, notably voicing Andross in Star Fox Adventures. Botwood also was the candidate to voice Daniel Carrington in Perfect Dark, but he horribly tried to impersonate the Scottish accent. He also had a cameo in GoldenEye 007 as "Naval Officer".[2]
Botwood left Rare in 2008 and since worked for Ubisoft Montpellier and Codemasters, although currently he works for latter.[3]
